This is a lovely Pink Bourbon selection from our project in San Agustín. This is our first year purchasing from Deison Rodriguez, and it is an honor to bring this lot to market. In the cup we find marmalade, baking spice, and eucalyptus.

Hand-picked at peak ripeness. Floated. De-pulped. Dry-fermented for 48 hours. Dried on raised beds for 30 days until moisture content reaches 10%.
Deison Rodriguez is a skilled coffee producer from San Agustín, Huila. We discovered his coffee through our exporting partners in the region, and this is our first year purchasing from him. Working with new producers like Deison is incredibly rewarding as we continue to invest in our ongoing projects in this special area.
Pink Bourbon is a relatively new variety being grown primarily in and around Huila, Colombia. The variety has been identified genetically as an Ethiopian Landrace, but unfortunately, we cannot be any more specific as to its origins until there is a larger genetic database.
The cost of getting a coffee from cherry to beverage varies enormously depending on its place of origin and the location of its consumption. The inclusion of price transparency is a starting point to inform broader conversation around the true costs of production and the sustainability of specialty coffee as a whole.
