This is our first year purchasing coffee from this young farm and family. Now in its fourth year of production, the quality is already exceptional. In the cup we find blood orange, raspberry, and lemon balm.

Hand-picked at peak ripeness. Floated to further remove defects. Held in-cherry for 30 hours. Wet-fermented in tile tanks for 75 hours. Washed. Dried until moisture content reaches 10.5%.
Lubier Beltran is a young, second-generation coffee producer. Having grown up working on his family’s coffee farm, he purchased Finca Tijuana for himself and his wife shortly after they were married. This is a young farm, now in its fourth year of production, and we are excited to see how it evolves alongside this young family.
Pink Bourbon is a relatively new variety being grown primarily in and around Huila, Colombia. The variety has been identified genetically as an Ethiopian Landrace, but unfortunately, we cannot be any more specific as to its origins until there is a larger genetic database.
The cost of getting a coffee from cherry to beverage varies enormously depending on its place of origin and the location of its consumption. The inclusion of price transparency is a starting point to inform broader conversation around the true costs of production and the sustainability of specialty coffee as a whole.
