Benjamin Paz is a legend and we’re extremely honored to be working with his coffee. His father was a coffee producer on the mountain of Santa Barbara. Due to the low prices and overall crisis in 1989 his father stopped growing coffee and founded Exportedora de Cafe San Vicente. This dry exporting company and dry mill has become one of—if not the—leading exporter of Honduran specialty coffee. Benjamin, now in his late 20's, finished college and moved back to Santa Barbara to buy a small piece of land and start his own coffee farm. He also oversees the Micro-lot branch of the wet mill San Vicente. He has worked extremely hard in making Santa Barbara the powerhouse producing region it is today. Benjamin is experimenting with growing Gesha, SL-28, and Orange Bourbon. We’re so happy to have this relationship and am humbled by the opportunity to roast his coffee.
